Services Overview
PERS offers three types of services:
- Parent and family training, emphasizing child and family independence.
- Intensive home support and training which includes academic, vocational, community based instruction, behavioral intervention, life/daily living skill training, and ABA/VB therapies.
- Respite and mentoring services, providing active educationally based engagement and support for the child and short and longer vacation breaks and support for the caregivers.
Philosophy of Service
All services provided by Professional Education and Respite Service Inc. are guided by the principle of functional independence for both the child and family. All services and plans are developed around the entire family and structure and will not be employed unless it is family and home friendly and easy to administer when the providers are not in the home. We believe it is essential that all adults teach and that the family actively participates. When the child gains independence, so does the family.
